Ukraine’s intelligence service, formally known as the the State Security Service, or S.B.U. (Служба Безпеки України (СБУ); Sluzhba Bezpeky Ukrayiny), claims to have intercepted audio of three separate telephone conversations transpiring amongst Ukrainian/Pro-Russian Separatist/Cossack Militia personnel in which the parties explicitly discuss Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17. The American Embassy in Kiev has publicly authenticated the S.B.U.-obtained recordings.

CALL #1: The S.B.U. identifies Ukrainian Separatist commander Igor Bezler speaking with Vasili Geranin, a Russian intelligence official, approximately 30 minutes after Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was terminated by a surface-to-air missile.

CALL # 2: The S.B.U. purports a conversation between two Ukrainian separatists, “Greek”, and, “Major”, both of whom allege and accept that flight MH17 was shot down by members of a Cossack Militia. “Major” is alleged to be communicating from an ancillary crash site, littered with bodies, personal effects, and aircraft debris.

CALL 3#: The S.B.U. alleges Cossack Militia leader Nikolay Kozitsin is speaking with an unidentified militant. During the course of this exchange, the plane is positively identified as a civilian aircraft. Kozitsin is then heard saying that the aircraft was carrying spies and was flying over combative territory; it is reasonable to infer that this is Kozitsin’s reactionary attempt at both justifying and legitimizing the missile strike.
