Involved v. Committed

A favorite anecdote of mine, as told to me by N.G.:

Take care in your promising to be committed.  When you commit, make sure you are actually commiting and not just becoming involved.  Know the difference between involved and committed.  It is a simple “breakfast analogy”.  When eating bacon and eggs for breakfast you may understand this- The chicken was “involved”.  But the pig was committed.
